Cars of the Month 2000
The "Car of the Month", is owned by our member Rob Twinam. Rob and his wife Dee purchased the 1973 Pinto last year.
The Pinto was modified back in the mid. 80's for drag racing and is equipped with 351 W C4 Trans. It has 513 gears and a 9" rear. With only 1 seat it has a 10 point roll cage X brace and rocker brace. Rob hopes to bring it up to 9.99 - 10 in ¼ mile. (Editors note- I have no idea what I'm writing about).
The Pinto which still carries the name "THE BEAST WITHIN", has been in the garage the last several months getting primed up for racing. Rob hopes to take it out in the near future and the Asphalt Angels can cheer him on at Capital, MIR and Colonial Beach.
It will be great having a car on the track bearing the Asphalt Angels Logo!
